Everyone is running around — making up their own games, with their own rules. There was often a child or two who wouldn’t want you playing your way.

Your friends and you could make up your own rules to a game of tetherball; and eventually, after enjoying the new game for many days, another child would approach your group and tell you “you’re not allowed to play that way.”

The official tetherball rules state that you need to play a certain way, and that your group shouldn’t be allowed to play the way you want.

Some rules are good, some rules are bad.

A rule which says, “don’t push the other kids down and hurt them” probably feels pretty good. A rule which says “pay me $5 every time you want to use the tetherball court” probably feels pretty bad. And some rules are just preference.

“If it spins around 3 times without the other team touching it, we start a bonus scoring system.” Such a rule might not be regulation. Does that make it wrong? Who should decide?

The people playing of course. If everyone playing the game states they like this new system then why should another kid walk over and tell them they can’t play that way?

On the playground it is easy for the other kids to ignore the outside rule-maker. Once they become adults, it becomes much harder. The children which once policed the tetherball court grew up and started carrying guns. Placed fancy metal on their shirts, put robes over their outfits, and crafted gavels made from wood. Do these objects make such individuals moral, good, or just?

Good—Neutral—Bad

Aiding others (good)

Acting in self interest without significantly impacting people around, either negatively or positively (neutral)

Harming others (bad)

It makes little difference whether a person has a fancy piece of metal on their shirt, or a gun on their hip. Harm is harm. And nothing harms a person’s psychological health, physical health, or emotional health more than putting them into a cage.

History:

Such institutions previously made up rules such as:

• “We can say that we own other people”

• “Running away from someone who says they own you is a crime”

• “Homosexual intercourse is a crime”

• “Drinking alcohol is a crime”

• “Smoking a plant is a crime”

These harmful, destructive, and abhorrent rules are almost universally acknowledged as wrong today. Yet for how long did such rules exist?

How many lives did they wrongfully destroy, believing the metal on their shirt made them right to do so? Can any other group in our society boast to have inflicted more harm? How many more wrongful rules still exist today?

Society routinely weaponizes the world’s economic system in order to inflict suffering. Deny a person opportunities — and they suffer, oft without food and shelter.

Yet it doesn’t stop there. Many of the rules invented make it illegal to exist without routinely paying money to the society. A system designed to inflict maximum pain and suffering on any people of their choosing; without warning and without means for rebuttal.

They made up a rule. You have no say in whether you have access to money or not. Just as you have no say in any of the numerous laws which make it a rule-violation to exist without adequate access to money.

A person might hear my words and think me anti-law or anti-police. On the contrary, I am pro-both. I advocated in defense of police spending amidst the defund the police movements. My wife and I hung a plaque on our wall commemorating our hometown police force in every city we ever lived in.

Some rules are good, some are bad.

Rules which state not to harm others are amazing. And the police officers who defend such rules are amazing. Truly, I am appreciative for any and all officers who defend a person’s freedom to exist; free from another person’s harm.

Yet for the metal on their chest to mean something, it must first become truthful. The only ones who can make it so are the police themselves.

“To protect and serve”.

That’s what the metal says. That’s what their actions would need to represent in order for it to remain truthful.

Every time a rule is made up and someone is harmed for it, such as marijuana-use being an obvious recent-example; the metal becomes a lie.

Who is protected?

Who is served?

The cage makes the affected party’s life worse, not better. Their families’ lives worse. Their ability to contribute to the society becomes lessened, making their communities worse.

“A joint” vs “a cage.”

One of those things shall provide a pleasant afternoon — the other shall ruin a person’s life. Neither the metal on their shirt nor the rule they made up justifies the harm they inflict; worsening their communities in the process.

Were the metal to hold value, police would prompt a pair of questions in their mind:

“Does this action make my community safer?” (protect)

“Will the parties affected via this case have improved lives as a result of my actions?” (serve)

Acting in accordance with such prompts would shape truthfulness into the metal; never again to see victimless-crimes enforced. Which are some of the most blatant culprits for worsening the society.

Let’s repeat that— victimless crime enforcement worsens communities.

Adherence to such prompts would see America return to become a free nation once again, just as the Founding Fathers intended… rather than the least free society on Earth.

More than 22% of the world’s incarcerated population is in America. More than 1 of every 5 people in a cage, is in America. That ranks as worst in the world — in a metric measuring the freedom of its people.

By drawing attention to its failing, we open up a doorway to improvement. Any nation claiming the mantle “leader of the free world” should have the least people in cages, not most.

Providing alternative pathways for at-risk groups is how we do that. Education for All provides people coming from troubled neighborhoods an alternative pathway in life. One neither of dead-end jobs, nor crimes and gangs. Self-directed development whilst living alongside their peers. The first and only period for equality-of-opportunity in our society.

Education for All: each person should have access to housing, food, and skill development— to live alongside their peers prior to adulthood (ages 15-20).

Some would go to college. Some would take classes online. Some would do apprenticeships. Some would teach themselves. Others would squander the time with their friends. All would live alongside one another for a 5 or 6 year period. I would take it a step further and place childcare and career counselors into the sub-communities. All potential outcomes are good. Providing opportunity. Increased sense of equality and fairness. Greater skill-levels felt throughout the society. And a period to shape some of the freest, most enjoyable memories in a person’s lifetime. What’s not to like?

With enough time, it is likely to propel the society from worst to first. Yet this alone isn’t enough. It will help, yet it will take time.

Removing victimless-crime laws will jumpstart the process.

First Principle of the Free World puts an end to victimless-crime laws by applying restrictions to government. Such a principle follows a blueprint left by the Constitution. Every government known to us forms rules which define what its people can’t do. What was supposed to make the Constitution unique was that it instead starts the process by defining what the government can’t do. First Principle does exactly this, yet it moves the line. Where the Constitution aimed for a society with more freedom, today the nation has less than its peers. First Principle corrects this, or will try to anyways. Specifically, it achieves this by targeting only the worst laws, victimless crime laws. It does not interject in laws pertaining to harm, such as: theft, rape, murder, etc.

First Principle: “no free-state shall interject itself between an autonomous individual and an act upon oneself, without consent”

Says the rules they make up must pertain to acts of harming the people around them. No more making up any rules they feel like.

How does the First Principle hold up versus the “good rule, bad rule” tests we mentioned earlier?

“No pushing kids down or hurting them”. This non-consensually harms the people around them. This is a good rule to have and the first principle would not stand in its way. This rule is valid.

“Pay me $5 to use the tetherball courts”. This one is difficult to evaluate. The rule obviously shouldn’t be allowed; yet how the First Principle would apply in this case feels ambiguous. Let’s call it a gray area for now. Let me know in the comments how you interpret it.

“No playing with the bonus system you and your friends made up”. This does not harm anyone around them non-consensually. This rule is invalid. First Principle would protect the players from the other child. He made up a rule trying to dictate how they play, in a way which harms no one.

“We can say that we own other people”. Firstly: this is an action upon others of non-consensual harm, the First Principle would apply to defend the individual from the rule-makers. Secondly: to leave their property is a choice which doesn’t harm anyone, another form of protection via the First Principle. Defending the individual not once, but twice, from corrupted rule making. Invalidated once. Invalidated twice. First Principle abides no such abhorrent practices.

“Drinking alcohol is a crime”.

This is textbook first principle protection. An act upon oneself… it is entirely the individual’s choice. This rule is invalid.

“Smoking a plant is a crime”.

Again, textbook first principle protection. An act upon oneself… it is entirely the individual’s choice. This rule is also invalid.

Does this system provide rampant increases of drug use? Do drugs flood into public spaces and influence kids?

No to both.

For the first part, Portugal has already tried it. After decriminalizing substance abuse in their country, their drug use rates are on par with all of Europe; whilst overdose and related disease spread has transformed to become the exemplar for the EU. Ranking amongst the lowest drug mortality rates in Europe.

What they found is that criminalization doesn’t reduce usage rates. Those who are deterred, are most often because of health impact and social stigma. Informational campaigns acting as the viable deterrents rather than punitive measures.

If you doubt Portugal’s model, pose yourself the question: “if meth-amphetamine was legalized tomorrow, would you do it?”

For most of us, the answer is no. We were taught the health risks, the addictive properties, and the stigma—which is why we wouldn’t. For those who do, the crimes form little deterrence. Instead police cage them, fine them, then remove these people from their workplaces — stripping them of housing, food, and dignity. Leading to significant declines in psychological, physical, and emotional health; alongside decreases in societal productivity. And to add insult to injury, it increases welfare usage and drives up the cost of healthcare. The individual, their family, and the society lose on all fronts. Instead of contributing, they often become increasingly dependent on welfare programs or turn to crime as their only felt means left to make money.

The other consideration is production and distribution. Consuming a drug is an act upon oneself—a choice a person makes which only directly affects themself—protected via the First Principle. Large scale production and distribution are most likely construed as actions upon others—which might not be covered in the First Principle; still vulnerable to regulation in a grayer area outside the principle. I.e you are free to use if you choose, but not necessarily free to produce & supply for others.

Likewise, drugs in public spaces — particularly where children are present — are gray area. Influence upon children may be construed as an action upon others, prompting regulations against use in public spaces. Yet such gray areas are inevitable in all policies, left to interpretation of the rule makers. This precedent in particular has high-potential to become abused by rule-makers if influence is allowed to act as justification too flexibly.

How does the First Principle reflect onto the good—neutral—bad scale? It lays very well. Good always being allowed. Neutral most-often allowed, though there a few gray areas. Bad things not allowed.

The principle draws a line. Each person is free to choose how they want to live — and so long as they aren’t harming others, everyone can co-exist.

Puts an end to victimless-crime laws and restricts the rule-makers to only shape rules pertaining to harming the people around them.

Not a basis for anarchy or the absence for the rule of law. On the contrary, it frees up more police time to focus on crimes involving actual harm. The serious ones (theft, rape, murder). Less focus on victimless-crimes, instead shifting more focus towards protecting and serving cases with actual victims. Which shall undoubtedly improve their reputations amongst their communities. We should expect less crime, less cagings, increased productivity, healthier societies, less welfare and healthcare spending, more freedom for you and the people around you. Again I shall ask, what’s not to like?

The First Principle does not form a perfect system but it helps us get there. Redirects the West towards its core value. It is likely to jumpstart any hopes the West has at going from worst-to-first when measuring freedom.

Details are provided in varying waves. The main voting screen is very similar to what any voting booth looks like now. A question and a list of names and pictures of the candidates. Yet this is where the similarities end, and the benefits begin.

For the phone app has 3 tabs. Click on any candidate and see 1-2 detailed pages from an objective source (tab 1), 2-5 pages of sales pitch from the campaign team (tab 2), and 1-2 pages with challenges from the leading opposition party (tab 3).

The first tab upon clicking a candidates portrait and subsequent read more portion is 1-2 pages of structured data, formed by an objective group surrounding the most active political discourse leading up to the election. The responses -- brief on this page, are all approved by the campaign team. Nothing more than a few sentences each. Brief and uniform structure here for all available candidates. Across the to of the screen are 3 icons, a return arrow which leads back to selections at any point… and folder-like tabs along the top right, which leads to the next section.

Tab 2: Campaign Team Pages

The second tab is the largest of the options, most often featuring 3-5 pages. It includes videos, images, summaries, and links to their policies in great detail. These pages are built by the campaign team themselves and submitted to the app. Their sales pitch.

Tab 3: Opposition Pages

The third tab is 1-2 pages of slightly moderated content, coming from the largest opposition party. This is a location where they challenge the candidate, former policy positions, and any perceived inconsistencies. These pages are brief, and are built to be the counter campaign team. All involved have the opportunity to sell themselves, as they see fit, and to challenge each other in a way which is particularly accessible and visible outside of the typical information bubbles.

How this effects 3rd Parties

One of the largest beneficiaries from this system could come from 3rd parties, who would have increased opportunity to promote themselves. And the voters would have increased time and accessibility towards learning about such candidacies.

National Holiday - Thursday in November

While a 3 day weekend would be great for travel, a Thursday holiday does something else entirely. It allows voters to celebrate a relaxing day of celebration. And to meet the next day with their coworkers or classmates, just before the weekend. This day would be expected to be more leisurely than usual, coming from a day off and with the weekend right around the corner. Increased socialization is expected. And what will they be likely to talk about? What they read on the election pages. What they saw in the celebration advertisements. And what they’d like to see for the future of our society. All on a day with decreased stress levels, following a day off and the weekend less than a day away.

Security Considerations (Early Framework)

Phone numbers would provide increased voting security. Each phone number and each person is restricted to a single vote. Over 95% of American adults have a cellphone.

Cellular tracing. Cellphone records can be tracked. Which reduces the potential for fraud.
Phone lines cost money. Required monetary investment reduces the potential for fraud.

Each mobile voter would be required to authorize with the registration of a phone number, and to vote from the phone number in question? Perhaps we should strive for greater flexibility? The Activity Density Principle

A society with one activity (such as a park) is considered poor. A society with 3 activities is considered wealthier (such as a park, library, bar). Each new activity the society offers its people, increases the wealth of the society. It becomes a more desirable place to live and experience; driving up the value of its land and enriching the people already living there.

In keeping with the activity density principle, we could consider further enriching our already existing infrastructure. The price for this local city to rent a jet-ski at local boat landings, and break even in terms of operational costs (jet-ski, insurance, maintenance, security, storage, dock, app to schedule usage) is less than $3 per rental. Recommend a 2-hour rental period.

For kayaks, paddle boards, and various other water vehicles -- the price is even less. We could also consider boat rentals, at slightly higher rates.

Hydro Recreation Proposal

The Hydro Recreation Initiative establishes profit-generating public recreation hubs at waterfront parks, boat landings, rivers, beaches, and lake-access points. These hubs would generate small amounts of profits for the city, lessening tax burdens, yet profits would be bound within a small margin of at-cost pricing models -- limited to the nearest whole-dollar round-up value. For example, if the break-even cost to rent a jet ski was $3.48 -- the jet-ski price would be set at $4, ensuring small amount of profits for the city, rather than a taxpaying burden. Yet limited from pursuing profiteering models.

There are societies who run their governments so efficiently in the World -- as to pay their citizens tax dividends rather than charge them taxes. This proposal brings society a step closer to this possibility.

These hubs provide accessible recreational equipment through modern self-service systems including mobile applications, QR access systems, automated kiosks, and dynamic docking stations designed for efficient public use; and nearly staff-less support. Staffing would be used for management, mechanical issues, security issues, and storage -- all of which on as-needed basis; with expectations no larger than a few hours per month.

Depending on regional geography and demand, offerings may include jet-skis, kayaks, paddle boards, aerial-aquatic drones, and small recreational boats.

The initiative is intentionally designed around improving societal value by increasing optional activities for people to participate. More choice, more enjoyment, more freedom -- leading to more value.

Financial Analysis

For this proposal, we shall consider what it would cost to purchase and build a jet-ski rental system near existing boat landings. We would not consider this a private enterprise, instead challenging the society to provide the service, at small profit margins, no larger than nearest rounding. For example, if the break even point for cost of a rental was $2.49, the city could charge $3. Yet it could not charge $4 or $10. Only the nearest rounding to keep activities as affordable for the people as possible.

Costs

Jet-ski price: $6,000

• This is the price for a cheaper, yet new jet-ski with an expected duration of longevity between 10-15+ years.

Expected Duration: 8 years

• Rentals experience increased usage, and greater wear and tear, and should consider at least 10% or more reduction in average longevity.

Insurance: $1,200

• Coverage represents 20% of the cost of purchasing a new jet-ski. This number should be expected to fluctuate greatly, depending on security, and wear and tear. Pilots shall reveal more reliable data in the future, leading to adjusted insurance costs for future additions.

Storage: $100

• Most boat landings have abundant space to add storage facilities, depending on the scale of the rental service. As this calculation is built to consider the cost specific to one jet-ski, we should not consider the total cost of the storage, rather this jet-skis share of space within it.

Gas: $0

• We could consider a bring your own gas system, similar to those deployed via U-Haul rentals. Each person is responsible to fill the tank back to full upon returning it, or it shall incur an additional charge on their account.

Maintenance: $900

• Maintenance estimates over an 8 year period are loosely based on 15% of the total value. Further considerations should reevaluate this figure.

Security: $200

• As this calculation is built to consider the cost specific to one jet-ski, we should not consider the total cost of security, rather this jet-skis share of it. Most parks which shall consider renting equipment are already equipped with bathrooms and attached security cameras. Infrastructure is already in place, and camera angles should prioritize water rental areas. Additional security considerations shall be QR scan systems, which unlock the use of jet-ski. QR scans shall need systems which ensure adequate card is on file prior to rental -- CC scan; or registered app IDs with verification process and CC on file prior to rental.

Total Cost: $8,400

Income

• 80% of Summer (72 days)

Considerations

• As kayaks and paddle boards cost considerably less than half the cost of a jet-ski, it is reasonable to expect kayak and paddle boards to be no higher than 1/2 this amount, should the city choose to provide rentals.

• It is reasonable to expect a boat rental to be no more than 4x this amount.

• Budget is calculated based on a few assumptions.

  • Staff-less rental services.

  • Docks with locking mechanisms which unlock via payment or QR swipes.

  • Security cameras watch rentals from nearby bathroom or storage facilities.

  • At time of rental, should any user find its tanks low, they are to select a prompt at payment location, where they send a photo. The previous user is then charged for gas and a small fee for failing to fill up.

  • At the end of the season, parks staff moves all rentals into storage for the Winter, at which time snowmobiles are then made accessible in their place.

  • Could also consider nightly moving of them into storage, which would increase costs slightly.

  • Or we could consider night light systems and make them accessible 24 hours per day, which is my personal recommendation. Adults use at their own risks, and accept their own risks from night-time usage. A free society should of course allow people existing within it to accept risks. If there is any data which correlates with increased insurance rates at night, night-time rentals could become slightly more expensive than during the day, to assist with insurance costs and night-time lighting costs.

Societal Benefit

The society becomes further enriched via the following mechanisms:

• Increased happiness for locals

  • As affordable opportunities for daily activities increases, so too does happiness rise throughout the society. Families have an additional options for enjoying their weekends... travel to the beach and ride a jet-ski together, for less than the price of a museum admission.

• Increased health for locals

  • Many of the offerings promote greater physique, such as kayaks and paddle boards. Making these activities more accessible shall reverberate throughout the society with lower healthcare costs and lower premiums.

• Greater incentives to draw people towards more time in nature

  • Nature has numerous health benefits, yet often finds itself at disadvantage -- with people most often opting to spend time on technology. Such a system elevates nature’s ability to compete with the wonders of technology.

• Increased land values

  • In keeping with The Activity Density Principle, the more activities a place offers its locals, the more desirable it becomes to live there. Driving up local QOL, follows up with increased interest for migration, which drives property values up throughout the society.

• More desirable place to live

  • Increased offerings, such as affordable-access to water vehicles shall make each location which deploys it a more desirable place to live and experience.

• Improved tourism

  • Tourism is fayhaps the most obvious benefit. People looking to travel to a location, seek activities to enjoy. Take Great Lakes regions for example. Host an NFL Draft, and how many people shall bring their own jet skis to enjoy on the bay? Parks are brilliant. They are the stage for some of our best memories: the smell of the grill at a birthday party, the shared laughter of a beer garden, and the simple joy of a family afternoon. Parks shall expand their versatility. They are already present, constructed, and staff-less... yet there value is slashed in half by way of policy. The day is most often enjoyed by the family. Small children on the swings and playgrounds. Parents often playing with them, or observing from the benches and picnic tables. We shall discuss the upgrades for parents in later sections, yet for now let us imagine a second environment.

The night sky graces the park, accentuated via subsurface flood lights spotted around the playgrounds. Soft padded surfaces used in place of cement or wood chips. Neon-lined tube lights along the playground equipment. All of which accentuated by darkened skies, filled of moon and starlight.

It is a world where the shadows are intentional and the light is sculptural, turning the evening air into a cool, glowing liquid which flows around the movements of the night-seekers. A translucent sapphire canopy stretches overhead, harvesting sunlight while casting a cool, dappled shadow across timber and stone. Beneath it, picnic-style tables with built-in wireless charging invite people to gather, work, and connect. At the center, a vibrant display showcases local creators, forming a shared space where technology and nature meet—an effortless sanctuary powered by clean solar energy.

We shall build shaded classroom like seating areas, with a waterproof cased monitor, solar canopies powering electrical outlets and wifi; and position these adjacent to playgrounds. Parents can normalize taking their children to the park whilst learning on their laptop. Schools shall normalize field trips to nearby parks, where a class will learn outside. At night, these areas shall become hang outs for adults of all ages. Play a sporting event on the monitor, and enjoy the environment. Particularly beautiful under the night sky.

We shall bioengineer fruit-bearing plants to freely spread in forests, fields, and of course... parks. Such plants should be engineered to grow more resiliently and to outcompete other plant types, free of need for regular intervention. No oversight or management. Just wild grown fruits for anyone to grab a free lunch as they choose. Placement is distributed naturally throughout walking paths and gathering zones. Yet this rejuvenation should not restrict location or spread.

The practice of selectively placing plants throughout our parks is not new -- it is already standard practice. Not the ideal situation, yet in times of emergency, we should strive so none feel the shame of being unable to afford feeding their families due to economic structures. Economic systems are societal constructs designed to aid our living experience. When societies of abundant food sources prevent members of the society from accessing meals, it is a failure of the system to deliver its intent. Yet this system helps -- more food, more access. Simply visit the park or forest walking trail and hungry families may supplement their food access.

In a world where bio-engineering plants happens daily; why not bioengineer naturally grown fruit-bearing trees in the wild?

Costs may be upfront for this one, yet this system only applies to parks along nature trails or appropriate waterways. The system can be designed to be cost-neutral, scaling based on potential rental fees. Advanced societies could provide these services for little-to-no-charge, yet still require a payment app or ID scan to ensure its timely return.

Purpose

To convert a failing program of US Education into a successful one. The benefits on the mind for bilingual speakers is well documented, and established beyond scrutiny. Our society accepts that processing capability related to bilingualism is desirable for our Human evolution, and our education systems require at least 2 years of a secondary language be taught for every student. Yet the success rate of the program is likely less than 2%. This is a failing metric, and a failing program.

A predominant reason for this failure is most young students struggle to envision needing its usage, or applying it in any meaningful way. They are learning something they never expect to use. We transform this. They will know exactly how and when they will apply this knowledge. And feel excited about its’ upcoming application. After all, they picked it.

The purpose of this Act is to establish a national framework for early cultural exploration, foreign language fluency, and international educational exchange in order to strengthen civic understanding, innovation, diplomacy, and global cooperation. This program seeks to transform foreign language education from a short-term academic requirement into a long-term, experience-driven pathway that cultivates bilingual proficiency and cultural literacy across the population.

Vision

At the age of nine, each student begins a deliberate act of curiosity.

They write a paper answering a simple but transformative question:

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose — and why?

The paper is reviewed by parents for approval, refined with guidance from teachers, and presented to classmates. The proposed place of choice is approved by parents and teachers based on preference, bilateral relations and agreements between the US and other nations. Any parents who desire can opt out of the program for any reason of their choice.

Upon approval, the student shall study the language for 5 years, with the knowledge that at the age of 14, they will spend one semester living in the desired nation, where they will learn about their culture and speak their language.

Upon returning, many will bring back innovative ideas, enriched cultural understanding, and even more tolerant mindsets to others’ differences. Our own society will be enriched as they bring back the best ideas with them, and seek to implement innovation throughout our society.

The Secretary of State will dedicate more time to peaceful, bilateral exchange school programs where America will host students from, and send abroad.

Structure of the Program

Age 9 — Declaration of Curiosity

• Student selects a country of interest

• Writes and presents a cultural research paper

A foundational indicator of program failure is the absence of outcome measurement. The United States does not track success rates relative to teaching secondary languages.

The US invests years of compulsory education in foreign language instruction for each and every youth of a population greater than 300 million, yet does not track data as to how often this instruction produces functional bilingualism.

When a national program mandates time, funding, and academic effort without tracking long-term success rates, the gap between intention and accountability begins to widen. Before evaluating methods, curriculum, or funding levels, the first step in reform is acknowledging this absence of outcome measurement as an early signal that the current model is not structured around measurable success.

My estimate based on first hand experience, and the number of bilingual speakers who learned from the educational setting in life, rather than from a family with a different linguistic background, is a success rate less than 2%. Unfortunately, a system which doesn’t track such metrics will be unable to confirm or rebuke such an estimate, built upon first hand knowledge and experience.

The Core Problem We Address

The current foreign language model produces extremely low functional fluency rates. The problem most likely sources to students unable to envision its usage. They are surrounded by a language, and the prospect of travel to another place where a different language is spoken is undesirable for some, yet most often a difficult to imagine threshold of freedom.

The result, is all students studying foreign language for multiple years, with few obtaining an proficiency or fluency beyond the scope of the class assignments. As if the only purpose is the homework, rather than learning the language. Yet this program transforms homework from the endpoint to the path to an enjoyable endpoint, where they experience a different way of life immersed in a foreign nation for one semester.

Multilingual societies consistently demonstrate advantages in:

• Global trade

• Diplomacy

India as a nation is one of the global leaders in foreign exchange programs. Such success has lead to a new normal where Indian born CEOs lead notable companies such as Alphabet, Microsoft, IBM, and the list goes on.

Why Require Foreign Language at All?

Multilingual teachings are already mandated across the entire society for a period of 2+ years, due to its perceived cognitive advantages relative to genetics and evolution. We shall not challenge this concept, though others are free to make the case the cognitive benefits are insufficient for effort related to teaching multi-linguistics. Rather we accept its cognitive impact is desirable throughout our population, and instead focus energy towards how to successfully teach the program.

At advanced ages like 80, it is likely too late for any desirable impact. During young adulthood—like what we came up with (ages 16-21) — such equity can ignite lifelong potential, allowing individuals to escape limiting circumstances, explore passions, and build resilience through trial and error. This window fosters self-determination, bridging the gap where current systems abandon ~60% of young people after age 18, leaving them without the structured support that propels the other 40% forward.

Meritocracy cannot exist in equality of opportunity’s absence, yet our society has no time with equality of opportunity present. Thus meritocracy must also be absent.

Groups Most Impacted

Education for All enriches every person in the society’s life experience. There is no individual, or group of individuals, who would not share in the benefits of such a program. The ~37% who already enjoy such privileges would preserve their own access to it, in a way which lessens housing debts accrued. The benefits from having ~63% of our society enjoy more self development and growth prior to adulthood would lessen crime, reduce homelessness, and stimulate increased innovation across our society for all to enjoy.

When you understand the principle: it is better to be the 100th richest person in the wealthiest society — than it is to be the richest person in the 100th wealthiest society, it becomes apparent that programs like Education for All benefit the wealthiest class of citizens almost as much as they do the poorest. With greater global prestige and influence, related to such successes.

Paradox of Access and Needs

In our current society, an inversion of meritocratic principles perpetuates inequality: those most in need of stable environments for self-development—such as youth from abusive households, gang-related neighborhoods, or families imposing incompatible paths—often have the least access to the systems which provide stabile environments. Conversely, those with supportive, nurturing homes, where free expression and growth are already encouraged, enjoy the nearly limitless access.

Thus a paradox is created.

Those in need, lack access.
Those with access, have little need for it.

Socially, these children become more likely to withdraw, further limiting cognitive development.

As the individual nears the age of 12, the horizon demonstrates a long, bleak stretch of 6 years of enduring abuse, where the culmination is most often struggling to find labor roles and housing access. Between this age gap, the results are staggering. Lives forever ruined, often resulting as runaways, condemned to an existence trapped in poverty and desperation. Hardly an American Dream. An American Nightmare perhaps, for such individuals. And not the good kind.

In a society with Education for All, the horizon at twelve looks exceedingly different.

They still have to endure their circumstances, but the countdown is to sixteen, not eighteen. A significant improvement (33%+). Where the culmination of which does not meet the individual with the age of abandonment at age 18. Rather, replacing the age of abandonment with the birthplace of opportunity.

The horizon following parental households will include access to safe housing in a sub-community of peers for five years. Housing, food, and skill development — an environment many go their entire lives without experiencing, now present. At an age where it is appropriate for them to build, to grow, and to redefine their lives on their own terms. No one chooses where they are born, nor to whom. Yet our entire existence is shaped by that which we have no agency with. The alternative looks appealing only because the American path appears so bleak. We are going to redefine the American path.

The new path they will observe will be built around Education for All. Every youth member will look out to observe a horizon with opportunity. Not in slogan. But in infrastructure.

Access to safe housing in a sub-community of peers for five years, with one clear condition: avoid gang-related behaviors. They gain a credible alternative to the streets—time and space to study, work, train, or experiment with skills without losing a bed or a meal. Instead of gang recruitment filling the vacuum, a visible, structured opportunity stands in its place.

Incompatible Lineage

Finally, imagine a teen whose aspirations directly clash with their parents’ expectations.

It establishes a system of universal, time-limited housing access embedded into the normal functioning of a city. The proposal is to implement a self automating system which ensures that adequate civic access housing units are built throughout each city, where any societal member would have access to housing for up to one year per 20 period, rent free. The only conditions for such use is to be born in that location, or having lived there for 2+ years.

Such a plan avoids abuse, maintains stable contributions, allows people opportunities to reskill during job disruptions, whilst building a more humanitarian world, where the American people maintain dignity and are given the chance to thrive, like they do in Finland — which ranks superior to our own society in housing, education, innovation, happiness, health longevity, healthiness, and egalitarianism than America in global rankings, by a significant margin — despite having less wealth access.

The purpose of this proposal is not specific to addressing homelessness, but to assist any persons during a time of need. This can be anything: someone who is starting a family, saving up for a home, struggling with student or other debts, seeking to reskill following a job-loss to automation, robotics, or AI, etc.

Creating a freer society, with increased opportunity, and more humanitarian care. All areas our society hosts room for improvement.

Universal Access Rule

The plan is remarkably simple… whilst homelessness is greater than 0: at least 1% of land development must be dedicated towards building civic housing systems.

This policy, once adopted, ensures that homelessness is always addressed, in a stable and long term preview, never requiring large or immediate catch up investment. But access to the civic housing extends to include everyone in the society, as a means to enhance their own lives in whatever needs face their current situation: family starting, skill development, relocation, familial separation, job displacement, debt catch up, etc. Yet access is time restricted to prevent long term usage and potential abuse.

Access to civic housing is not conditional on hardship, income, or housing status.

Instead, access is governed by time and residency alone. Any individual who Is born in the city, or has resided in the city for at least two years has access to housing units for up to one year. This system can be used once per 20 year period. The reason for the duration is to prevent abuse, and neglect of such systems. This access may be used at any point in life, for any reason, and does not require justification or approval beyond verification of residency and prior use.

The system is automatically activated and deactivated based on need and circumstance. If homelessness is active, the policy becomes active and ensures that it is steadily addressed in a humane way. If homelessness is inactive, the policy becomes deactivated, as the society’s needs assume their is sufficient housing available.

These facilities are function as time-limited civic residences. And would likely replace charity and shelter concepts, as they would become redundant and unneeded.

Let us imagine a society with 10 vacant lots available for further development. If the society chooses to use one of these lots to build an additional dental center, how does this decision affect the average member of the society?

It may reduce transportation distance for a small number of residents, or provide marginally more choice than exists at any given moment. Yet for 95% or more of the population, the impact on daily life is entirely absent. In this hypothetical scenario, the society has expended 10% of its remaining development potential while producing little to no meaningful improvement in lived experience for the average person in the society.

Now let’s evaluate the impact for construction projects when it builds something unique to the society — for example, an engineering school in a society which does not have one.

Anyone growing up in the society will feel more opportunity, the potential to pursue different career paths and development paths than the limited number available. Its young students become uniquely skilled in new areas, gain access to higher-income career paths, and enjoy stronger employment prospects. Their talents will seep into the community with increased innovation, and better construction projects (both physically and digitally), and there is to be an expected increase in job opportunities related to any future entrepreneurs in their respective crafts. The impact of such is likely to impact the majority of people in the society — with new career, development, and recreational opportunities, recognizable from a very early age.

The effects extend beyond direct participants, influencing the broader community through increased opportunity: new career paths, development, and recreational opportunities.

Civic Value Allocation Principle

We can define that every choice for construction consumes some of the city’s potential — to either increase, decrease, or stagnate the value of the society for the average member.

Building housing has an effect of slightly reduced housing costs. Yet for excitement and opportunity, this will do little. Building new infrastructure which is already abundant, might alleviate few travel concerns, slightly increase options, and produce more jobs — yet for most, will do little to produce new excitement and opportunity.

We should implement a policy which ensures that a portion of development projects are directed to meaningfully increase the value of the society, without inhibiting any person’s freedom to pursue their dreams .

Preserving Freedom While Advancing Society

We should not consider implementing policies which prevent any person from pursuing their dream, or any other project of choice (such as building a new dental center) — which can still provide significant value even in cases where it is not felt widespread or expansively. Rather, we should ensure that a certain number of projects at any given moment are improving the value of the city.

A federal baseline policy could be structured simply as:

At any given moment in time, at least 1% of a city’s development projects should be applied to improving the society in a way which provides something new, interesting, or meaningfully extends access to members of the society.

How it would work in practice? If a city has 100 lots available for construction — at any given moment the society must dedicate at least 1 lot towards providing the people of the region something new, interesting, or exciting. An engineering school or architecture school where it lacked one, a stadium for something new, a cultural center for family activities, a museum, or something else you can imagine desirable in your city, which it currently lacks.

The 1% federal baseline is a starting point, and could be adjusted for each region at its’ own discretion.

How the Policy Takes Effect

Development projects will have a label assigned for “uplifting” — something which is new, exciting, or which increases accessibility of something to a significant margin.

Uplifting: focused on elevating quality of life with unique initiatives that introduce fresh opportunities, fostering excitement and innovation in a supportive, approachable manner.

Why the “uplifting” tag was selected? Many of these projects won’t be “trailblazing” or “distinct”, yet they will provide the people new, increased opportunities and better lives.

Any time a new construction project seeks approval, if at least 1% of the ongoing projects lack the appropriate label, any new development projects would become restricted until something with this tag begins its’ development.

In practice, it would ensure that the society is always advancing exciting new projects, concepts, recreational activities, and opportunities for the people of its’ region.

Expected Outcome

With this single principle, society ensures that there is always something exciting in the works, where-ever you live — if things are being built, opportunities (both career and recreational) are being expanded with dedication towards excitement for the people of the region.

This proposal is to create a model for funding initiatives which implement automation, artificial intelligence, and advanced systems to replace or substantially reduce human labor required for economic output, while preserving — and ideally improving — human well-being, opportunity, and social cohesion.

The goal is not to eliminate work, but to liberate human time and energy, enabling societies to transition toward shorter workweeks, higher productivity, and greater quality of life without sacrificing economic stability. This proposal pairs with advancing the society towards a 32 hour workweek standard, and prioritizes replacing less-desirable jobs first and foremost before advancing to highly-sought after positions.

Problem Statement

Modern economies face a structural contradiction: Since the 1950s, the average household transitioned from ~40 hours of labor per week to ~80 hours today.

During this same period, many societies have seen relative declines in education outcomes, physical health, and mental well-being when measured against global peers. Yet we should not strive to return to such practices which favored gender inequalities, and was left for a reason -- instead we should learn from both periods and build for the next one.

By transitioning our workweeks towards 32 hour standards for full time employees, which test models have already validated in trial runs across UK, Denmark, Iceland, and Japan.

Across all trial environments, four conclusions repeat:

1. Productivity stays stable or increases.

2. Staff retention improves.

3. Worker health and family life improve.

4. Companies save money through reduced turnover and higher efficiency.

There is not a single major trial showing a collapse in output. The evidence is global, consistent, and compelling. And in over 90% of trials, the companies chose to keep the 32 hour standard following trial period.

When humans receive more time, they return more value. The workweek shrinks — the civilization grows.

Over the past three decades, productivity has continued to rise through digitalization, automation, and software-driven efficiency. With contributing individuals often punished for contributing towards success with layoffs, rather than sharing rewards from their efforts. 32 hour standards would help to ensure that everyone contributing to the success of the society is rewarded for their labors, rather than punished for it. By developing a grant proposal for automative adaptations, and pairing it with a societal based transition towards 32 hour workweeks, we can prepare our society for the next age to become something better than any of the ones known previously.

Priority is given to designs that integrate human oversight, maintenance, quality assurance, and system stewardship roles rather than eliminating human participation entirely.

An illustrative example of this program’s approach is the expansion of automated factories producing robotic vacuum systems for residential and commercial use.

Cleaning and vacuuming tasks — particularly in hotels, offices, schools, and large facilities — are essential to public health, safety, and quality of life. Clean environments are foundational to society and are no less important than any other form of work.

The distinction addressed by this program is not one of value, but of desirability and human cost.

Vacuuming and similar cleaning tasks are widely performed, physically repetitive, and often associated with long-term strain and burnout. While necessary, they are not roles that most individuals actively seek as lifelong or aspirational work.

By investing in automated factories that manufacture reliable, affordable robotic vacuum systems, the program targets tasks that are both essential and well-suited to automation — without diminishing their importance.

Access & Distribution

Robotic vacuum systems produced through such initiatives would be made broadly accessible across the society, similar to the methods of garbage and recycling bins, which are provided to each group, and new ones can be purchased whenever needed.

Labor Impact & Transition

The introduction of robotic vacuum systems did not remove the need for cleaning professionals. Instead, it reduced the amount of time required to perform repetitive physical tasks within a workday.

An example of how it would work for us to automate their production:

• Cleaning staff can complete the same scope of work in fewer hours

• Organizations can support reduced full-time schedules (e.g., 32 hours) without loss of service quality

• Human effort shifts toward oversight, organization, quality assurance, maintenance, and interpersonal tasks that remain difficult or undesirable to automate

Robotic vacuum cleaners would operate around the society, in businesses, and homes wherever you traverse. Your hotel stay would see a vacuum robot roam the halls, and would enter the room along with the cleaning staff at the same intervals as they do now.

The result is not job elimination, but time recovery and strain reduction.

We can expect that such programs will facilitate less abortions in the society — not by removing choice — rather by addressing financial hurdles which block their path. Younger family starting, which is already evolutionarily natural, will become more socially acceptable — allowing young parents to have a path to thrive in the society rather than abort or drown. Such is about creating conditions where families can breathe, grow, and contribute fully.

Practically, the policies we can apply to support young starting families include parental access, and support mechanisms for young families, with the expected returns including a wide variety of positive outcomes, including: happier and healthier families and decreased abortion rates.

1+ Year Standard of Shared Parental Access

Early parenthood is a foundational phase of life with long-term consequences for children, parents, and society as a whole. When this phase begins under conditions of stress, instability, and fear of economic loss, those pressures echo forward for decades — shaping health, education, relationships, and trust in institutions.

This proposal mimics policies deployed the world over, establishing precedents set by the happiest and healthiest societies in the known world, which average between 1-1.5 years of paternity leave by national law. Our policy would establish a minimum of one year of shared parental access, across society. The time is drawn from a shared pool and distributed freely by parents according to their own circumstances, and needs. No prescribed division is imposed. The policy is explicitly gender-neutral, choice-preserving, and non-directive.

Rather than treating early parenthood as a disruption to economic life, this approach recognizes it as a period of intense human development — one that benefits both families and society when supported properly. Comparable models already exist in advanced economies, particularly across Nordic countries, where parental access is understood not as a cost to be minimized, but as an investment with compounding returns.

Comparisons between the United States and countries such as Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland are fair and instructive. These nations operate modern, high-productivity economies with strong innovation ecosystems, democratic governance, high female workforce participation, and non-traditional family structures. While cultures differ, the policy signal is consistent: societies that provide extended parental access see significantly stronger outcomes across health, education, innovation, and social stability without sacrificing economic competitiveness.

Across these countries, extended parental access correlates with improved physical and mental health, longer life expectancy, stronger educational outcomes, higher reported life satisfaction, lower divorce rates, and more stable dual-parent household continuity. Importantly, innovation remains robust — often driven domestically rather than through reliance on imported talent alone.

Trust and emotional security are established. A stable, present start reduces downstream costs that otherwise surface later as mental health challenges, educational disengagement, family instability, and social correction expenses. To ensure fairness and economic balance, we should observe how these models are constructed, and mimic their methods to fit our society in ways which work for us. Where the responsibility for parental access does not fall solely on employers — particularly small businesses. Temporary role-coverage pools, tax credits, scaled contribution rates based on firm size, and flexible notice structures allow small and medium businesses to remain competitive with larger firms. 2. Education for All: Include Childcare on Campuses

This section functions as an attachment to a broader proposal, which will be featured later, as a pivotal portion of long-term societal planning surrounding opportunity.

Education for All (Ages 16–21)

Every citizen is provided access to stable housing, food, and career development for a 5 year period, for each individual to define their own development path during such period.

This section however, will focus specifically on childcare and young-family stability within that educational window, expanding on how family formation can remain compatible with education, freedom, and long-term opportunity.

Population stability does not require pressure or panic. It requires conditions where forming a family is viable, responsible, and supported. Education for All addresses this directly by integrating childcare and family stability into the educational environment itself.

Childcare is treated as public infrastructure — not a private burden. Every public university and training institution provides on-site childcare services during standard weekday hours (approximately 8:00–5:00, with flexibility based on campus logistics). This allows parents to attend classes, acquire skills, manage family life, and work part-time if they choose — without forcing impossible tradeoffs.

Housing and food access during this educational period are stable and unconditional. They are not tied to employment requirements. This creates a uniquely strong life phase for family formation: young adults have time, institutional support, and access to education — conditions historically aligned with healthy child development and long-term family stability.

This structure produces several outcomes without coercion:

• Significantly fewer abortions, as crisis conditions are reduced rather than moralized

• Young motherhood and parenthood become socially normal, supported paths rather than projections of dysfunction

• Relationships experience less strain, as family formation is no longer economically destabilizing
